Dr. Alex Karagrigoriou

Dr. Alex Karagrigoriou is a Professor of Probability and Statistics at the University of Piraeus, Greece, and has previously held academic positions at the University of the Aegean and the University of Cyprus. His research interests include applied probability, statistical modeling, time series analysis, reliability theory, actuarial mathematics, stochastic modeling, and big data analytics. He received his PhD in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Maryland, USA. Dr. Karagrigoriou has published over 100 scientific articles, edited several research volumes, and delivered numerous invited talks internationally. His work focuses on both theoretical developments and practical applications of statistics in science, engineering, and finance.
