The European Young Statisticians Meeting (EYSM)

The European Young Statisticians Meeting (EYSM) was last hosted in Lithuania in 1993 - more than three decades ago! With its rich academic tradition and a dynamic, rapidly evolving scientific community, Vilnius is an ideal location to welcome this important event back to Lithuania. The organising team of EYSM Vilnius 2026 is committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, and scientific excellence. We aim to create a welcoming space for young researchers from all countries, backgrounds, genders, and beliefs, where they can exchange ideas, present their work, and build lasting collaborations across borders.

Vilnius is a friendly, green, safe, and culturally rich city, known for its charming Old Town (a UNESCO World Heritage site), thriving creative scene, and affordability. With its unique blend of history and modernity, Vilnius offers not only a stimulating academic setting but also a warm and memorable experience for visitors. We look forward to welcoming the next generation of statisticians and mathematicians to Vilnius in 2026 - for a meeting that will inspire, connect, and shape the future of science in Europe and beyond.
